Octagon newcomer Christian Aguilera made a big debut earlier tonight (Sat., June 13, 2020) at UFC on ESPN 10 live on ESPN/ESPN+ from inside UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada, when he smashed welterweight counterpart Anthony Ivy via TKO (punches) just 59 seconds into the first round.
Ivy utilized his size straight out of the gate by landing some whipping leg kicks. Aguilera pushed right through them to connect with a big overhand right. Ivy was stunned and Aguilera followed up with a perfectly-placed uppercut and a barrage of punches over the top. It was only a matter of time before Ivy toppled to the canvas and the referee was forced to intervene.

With this performance, Aguilera lives up to his billing as a proven finisher and secures his 11th-career knockout through just 14 wins. The heavy-hitting welterweight took very little damage in this short-notice fight so there’s a good chance UFC calls on Aguilera again in the coming weeks.
