Chris Weidman suffered another disappointing loss earlier tonight (Sat., Dec. 7, 2024) at UFC 310 LIVE on ESPN+ pay-per-view (PPV) from inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, as the former UFC middleweight champion tired out to allow Eryk Anders to capture a brutal second-round TKO (punches).

Anders looked to be the more aggressive fighter early in the first round, but Weidman ended up catching him with a massive shot and quickly took top control. The former champion tried to get Anders out with heavy ground-and-pound, but he couldn’t do enough to force the referee’s hand.

The second round saw Anders flip the script and implement his own wrestling along the cage. Maybe Weidman had tired from his previous output in the first round because the 40-year-old was dead tired. Anders was able to keep Weidman pinned down and landed short punches for about two minutes. The referee looked closely as he awaited a few more shots before stopping the fight. The final punches landed to Weidman’s head with seconds left in the frame.

Check out the video highlights below:

Anders, 37, hasn’t been the most exciting fighter in the UFC’s middleweight division, but this was by far his biggest win to date. Despite Weidman’s age and lack of endurance, he’s still a former UFC champion with a big name. This was a nice win for Anders heading into a new year where he tries to stick around on the roster.
