Danaa Batgerel wasted little time delivering the goods earlier tonight (Sat., Mar. 7, 2020) at UFC 248 live on ESPN+ from inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, when he finished bantamweight veteran Guido Cannetti via first-round knockout (punches).
Cannetti came out strong and landed a whipping leg kick as Batgerel pushed forward, but it was the Mongolian who did the most damage as the action unfolded on the feet. After showcasing good head movement and footwork Batgerel was able to time a perfect left hook that connected on Cannetti and instantly slumped the Argentinian fighter. Batgerel pounced on top for some brief ground-and-pound before the referee’s stoppage.

With this performance, Batgerel locks down his first UFC victory after losing a decision to Heili Alateng in his debut this past August. The Jackson-Wink MMA prospect has looked impressive over his first two outings and could be a name to watch out for in 2020, especially if he’s able to land his power like he did tonight.
