Chris Gutierrez looked phenomenal in his “Prelims” bout opposite Vince Morales earlier tonight (Sat., May 30, 2020) live on ESPN/ESPN+ from inside UFC APEX facility in Las Vegas, Nevada, en route to claiming just the 10th TKO finish via leg kicks in UFC history.
Gutierrez looked sharp straight out of the gate, landing nasty kicks to Morales’ lead leg and body. Morales wasn’t able to offer much offense as the punishment mounted quickly. Gutierrez kept busy in the second round as more leg kicks pushed Morales against the cage and put referee Jason Herzog on notice. After one final leg kick put Morales on the ground the fight was stopped.

With this performance, Gutierrez locks down his most impressive Octagon victory to date and now pushes his current win streak to three. Look for the 29-year-old to land a more high-profile name the next time out, especially if UFC wants to test his dangerous striking against more seasoned foe.
