Deiveson Figueiredo easily notched his first UFC flyweight title defense last night (Sat., Nov. 21, 2020) at UFC 255 live on ESPN+ PPV from inside UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada, when the Brazilian champion finished challenger Alex Perez via first-round submission (guillotine).
Perez was able to do some damage early with short punches inside and hard body kicks before bringing the action along the cage. Out of nowhere Figueiredo rolled for one of Perez’s legs and forced him to defend. Perez did, but got caught in the guillotine when he tried to take Figueiredo’s back and the champ rolled over into full guard. It was quite beautiful.
