Rising women’s flyweight contender Manon Fiorot looked like a world beater earlier tonight (Sat. June 5, 2021) at UFC Vegas 28 live on ESPN+ from inside UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada, when the French fighter finished UFC newcomer Tabatha Ricci via second-round TKO (punches).
While Ricci was moving up in weight and filling in on short notice she pushed the pace and threw caution to the wind. It’s the type out output you want to see from a Octagon newcomer, but she battled tooth-and-nail to last on the feet with Fiorot. In Round 2, Fiorot was able to land a brutal right hand that rocked Ricci and she followed up with a barrage of strikes. The fight was eventually stopped on the feet along the cage as Ricci was no longer able to defend.

This is Fiorot’s second-straight TKO finish to begin her UFC career and she is quickly looking like a contender to watch in the fairly shallow 125-pound class. If she can continue to pour in dominant finishes like this it’s only a matter of time before “The Beast” is knocking down the door for a shot at current UFC women’s flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko.
