Rising middle contender Nassourdine Imavov captured the biggest win of his MMA career earlier tonight (Sat., July 24, 2021) at UFC Vegas 32 live on ESPN/ESPN+ from inside UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada, when he handed veteran Ian Heinisch his first knockout loss in the form of a second-round TKO (knee and punches).
Heinisch came of winging leg kicks to try to slow Imavov and take away his size advantage. Imavov was able to walk through each and every one to land punches from range and bust Heinisch up. In Round 2, Imavov was able to land some straight punches that hurt Heinisch and allowed Imavov to move in for a brutal knee along the cage. Some insurance shots followed and Imavov walked away with the win.

This is a big win for the 26-year-old Imavov who was coming off a majority decision loss to Phil Hawes back in February. Heinisch has never been put away quite like this so it speaks levels about Imavov’s striking arsenal and overall potential as a 185-pound contender on the rise.
