Impa Kasanganay returned to the win column in a big way earlier tonight (Fri., April 12, 2024), knocking out Bellator MMA’s Alex Polizzi in the very first round in the main event of PFL Las Vegas in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Halfway through round one, Kasanganay started landing clean shots on Polizzi, who seemed to be out on his feet and ready to go out at any moment. After getting dropped, referee Marc Goddard seemed as if he was going in for the stoppage, but backed down and let Kasanganay continue to batter his foe.

After surviving and getting back to his feet, Polizzi was the recipient of yet another vicious onslaught, as Kasanganay tagged him with eight consecutive shots which definitely had dazed and confused while standing. Goddard ultimately made the wise decision to step in and put and end to the punishment, which should have been stopped earlier than it was.

Take a look at some of the action:

With the win, Kasanganay earns six points and goes to the top of the leader board in the Light Heavyweight tournament. It’s a perfect way for last year’s winner to kick off the 2024 season, bouncing back nicely from his loss to Johnny Eblen a few months ago.
