Amanda Nunes was as dominant as ever last night (Sat., Mar. 6, 2021) at UFC 259 live on ESPN+ PPV from inside UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada, defending her UFC women’s featherweight title against former Invicta FC champion Megan Anderson via first-round submission (triangle armbar).
Nunes absolutely steamrolled Anderson from the opening bell. She clobbered the contender with hard punches and whipping leg kicks. Anderson’s length was supposed to be an advantage entering the fight, but it was actually her downfall. It allowed Nunes to pick apart in just two minutes. Anderson was forced to go for a takedown and left herself open for the triangle armbar finish.
