Sabina Mazo pulled off the biggest win of her career earlier tonight (Sat., Sept. 12, 2020) at UFC Vegas 10 live on ESPN+ from inside UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada, when the towering women’s flyweight prospect ended Justine Kish via third-round submission (rear-naked choke).
Despite a beautiful head kick in the first round Mazo struggled to take control of this fight. Kish was too quick on her feet and was able to close the gap on the taller Mazo to land punches inside, spinning back fists, and a plethora of leg kicks.
In Round 3, likely down two rounds, Mazo was able to land another perfectly-timed head kick. This one planted Kish on the canvas and allowed Mazo to rush in for the submission finish.

With this performance, Mazo locks down her third-straight UFC win after taking out JJ Aldrich and Shana Dobson in her last two outings. The 23-year-old prospect will look to move up the 125-pound ladder fairly quickly and get her hands on a more noteworthy opponent her next time out.
