Jamie Mullarkey continued to impress earlier tonight (Sat., Oct. 2, 2021) at UFC Vegas 38 live on ESPN+ from inside UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada, when the lightweight prospect put a stop to touted striker Devonte Smith via second-round TKO (knees and punches).
Mullarkey looked to be trouble in the opening frame as Smith was quicker to the punch and found a home for multiple power shots. Fortunately for Mullarkey, he was able to turn the tides early into the second frame when he landed a brutal leg kick. Smith seemed to wobble and never really regained his mobility. That allowed Mullarkey to unload combinations, punches to the body, and heavy knees inside until Smith wilted along the cage.
