Melissa Mullins put an absolute beating on Klaudia Sygula earlier tonight (Sat., Nov. 9, 2024) at UFC Vegas 100 live on ESPN+ from inside UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada, stopping the UFC newcomer with a second-round TKO (punches) followed by a post-fight breakdance celebration.

Sygula, who accepted this fight on short notice, was coming off a 14-month layoff. The Polish prospect had won her last six fights entering her UFC debut, but she was a sizeable betting underdog. After a competitive start to the first round, fight fans saw exactly why Mullins was favored to win this women’s catchweight affair (Mullins missed weight on Friday).

Midway through the first round Mullins secured a timely takedown along the cage. She quickly got to work from top position, landing shots and stalling Sygula every time she tried to scramble. Luckily for Sygula, there was an end to the round. However, the same situation would play out to begin the second frame.

Mullins took less time moving in for the takedown as she dragged Sygula to the canvas once again. From there, Mullins would unload heavy ground-and-pound that started to really do damage. Referee Chris Tognoni took a little longer than expected to step in, but he eventually did. Mullins walked away with the second-round TKO stoppage to move her UFC record to 2-1.
