Veteran Tyson Nam kept things rolling earlier tonight (Sat., Sept. 19, 2020) at UFC Vegas 11 live on ESPN+ from inside UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada, as he finished Octagon newcomer Jerome Rivera via second-round TKO (punches).
Nam struggled in the early going as Rivera was able to keep his distance and land some whipping leg kicks, but the veteran eventually settled in and landed some good right hands along the cage. In Round 2, Nam was able to time one of Rivera’s leg kicks and came over the top with a brutal right hand counter. The punch knocked Rivera to the canvas and allowed Nam to rush in for the finish via ground-and-pound.

With this performance, Nam locks down his second-straight finish after taking out Zarrukh Adashev with a 32-second knockout back in June (see it HERE). Nam may be a 36-year-old veteran with over 14 years of MMA experience but the Hawaiian contender is just getting started under the UFC banner. Look for Nam to score a top 15 opponent his next time out after scoring another finish.
