Featherweight prospect Ode Osbourne looked like a straight killer earlier tonight (Sat., Feb. 6, 2021) at UFC Vegas 18 live on ESPN+ from inside UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada, as “Jamaican Sensation” leveled Jerome Rivera via knockout (punches) just 26 seconds into the first round.
This “Prelims” opener didn’t disappoint as both featherweights came out aggressive and looking to score. When Rivera launched a half-hearted head kick it allowed Osbourne to crack him with a vicious left hand counter. Rivera dropped to the canvas and Osbourne moved in for the quick finish.

Osbourne was coming off a submission loss to Brian Kelleher just over one year ago so this is exactly what he needed to start 2021 off on the right foot. The 29-year-old finisher is super talented, especially for a division as stacked as 145 pounds, so it will be interesting to see how he stacks up against more established competition moving forward.
