Former UFC light heavyweight title challenger Ovince Saint Preux scored yet another Von Flue choke finish earlier today (Sat., Sept. 28, 2019) at UFC Fight Night 160 live on ESPN+ from inside Royal Arena in Copenhagen, Denmark, when he submitted surging contender Michal Oleksiejczuk in the second round of their main card affair.
The smaller Oleksiejczuk came firing out of the gate and blasted Saint Preux with heavy hands over the top and crippling punches to the body. Saint Preux countered when he could be he seemed flat for the first five minutes. The momentum would shift in the second round as OSP got a little busier on the feet and landed good offense inside. That led to a Saint Preux takedown along the cage, a quick pass to side control, and the eventual Von Flue choke finish.

With this performance, Saint Preux shakes off back-to-back loses to Dominick Reyes and Nikita Krylov to earn his fourth (yes, fourth) Von Flue choke finish in his UFC career. The 36-year-old veteran likely doesn’t have another title run left in the tank, but he’s still an extremely dangerous light heavyweight capable of ending a fight anytime the action hits the canvas.
