Jake Paul did what most thought he would do last night (Fri., Nov. 15, 2024) LIVE on Netflix from inside AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Tex., outlasting an aged Mike Tyson to win a weird — yet extremely lucrative — boxing main event.

Tyson was able to land some good shots in the early going, but he seemed to slow down pretty quickly. One of his knees was in a wrap to begin the fight so it wasn’t a good sign to see his mobility dwindle so quickly. Luckily, Paul took his time with his offense and didn’t really press Tyson to move his feet too much. It allowed “Iron Mike” the chance to stay stationary and still have a window to land punches.

Paul turned it up in Round 3, though, as he popped Tyson from range and put a little more steam on his shots. A few hard left hands landed that put Tyson in a bit of trouble, but the 58-year-old was able to stay in the fight. Paul continued to lead the dance in the middle rounds as he peppered Tyson to the body and moved enough to avoid any counters coming his way.

Unfortunately for Tyson fans around the world, the former heavyweight champion couldn’t offer much more over the final two rounds. “Iron Mike” landed a burst or two to keep Paul honest, but the social media star was picking him apart. Surprisingly, Paul didn’t completely go bonkers trying to get the finish. Maybe it was out of a sign of respect for Tyson.

Either way, the fight went all eight rounds and Paul walked away with another win over another washed opponent. Check out some of the fight highlights below:
