Heavyweight prospect Sergei Pavlovich gave fight fans their first finish earlier this morning (Sat., Oct. 26, 2019) at UFC Fight Night 162 live on ESPN+ from inside Singapore Indoor Stadium in Kallang, Singapore, when he flattened “Prelims” counterpart Maurice Greene via first-round TKO (punches)
The finishing sequence came just over 90 seconds into the very first round as Pavlovich popped Greene with a stiff lead jab to catch his attention. Greene backed up to regain his composure only to have Pavlovich come screaming in with powerful right hands. A few were able to sneak through the defense of Greene and put the towering heavyweight in trouble. Pavlovich kept swinging until Greene crumbled to the canvas and the referee stepped in for the TKO stoppage.

With this performance, Pavlovich locks down his second-straight Octagon finish after knocking out Brazilian prospect Marcelo Golm with once punch back in April. Pavlovich unfortunately had to take on veteran Alistair Overeem in his debut and paid for it via a first-round TKO loss, but has since turned the page on his UFC career. The 27-year-old prospect is a name to watch entering 2020 especially if he’s able to continue this type of offensive production.
