Alex Pereira, who is widely known as the only man to finish UFC champion Israel Adesanya, recorded one of the scariest knockouts you will ever see last night (Fri., Nov. 20, 2020) at LFA 95 in Park City, Kansas.
The former GLORY kickboxing middleweight champion was making his LFA debut against Thomas Powell. Pereira was easily the more polished striker coming into this fight and it showed every step of the way.
With just under one minute left in the first round Powell went to step in and Pereira caught him with a ridiculous check left hook. Powell immediately fell limp to the canvas where he stayed for minutes. It was actually a pretty scary situation as Powell didn’t move a muscle, but he eventually regained consciousness.

LFA is typically a stepping stone for future UFC fighters and it looks like Pereira absolutely killed his audition. The kickboxing standout showed patience and power in an important debut and looks like he could slot into the UFC’s middleweight division tomorrow.
What do you think, fight fans? Is Pereira ready to make his Octagon debut?
Sound off!
