Antonina Shevchenko looked better than ever earlier tonight (Sat., Nov. 21, 2020) at UFC 255 live on ESPN+ PPV from inside UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada, when she smashed streaking contender Ariane Lipski via second-round TKO (punches).
Outside of a few hard punches landed by Lipski in the early going it was Shevchenko who dominated the fight from the opening bell. The older Shevchenko sister is known for her striking but she was able to drag Lipski to the canvas and land heavy ground-and-pound at will. It was quite impressive to see, especially considering Shevchenko’s ground game has given her problem in the past. Shevchenko went back to the well in the second round which is when she ended Lipski with more strikes.

With this performance, Shevchenko gets back into the flyweight win column after dropping a decision loss to Katlyn Chookagian back in May. She will now watch her sister, Valentina Shevchenko, defend her UFC women’s flyweight title later tonight against Jennifer Maia.
