Jalin Turner looked better than ever earlier tonight (Sat., Sept. 12, 2020) at UFC Vegas 10 live on ESPN+ from inside UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada, when “Tarantula” battered Brok Weaver en route to a second-round submission (rear-naked choke).
Turner came into this fight as the bigger lightweight and it really showed in the early going. He scored points in bunches with jabs, long punches from range, and a right hand that knocked Weaver to the canvas. Weaver wasn’t able to land much offense outside of some hard kicks to Turner’s lead leg.
It looked like Turner may have been slowing in Round 2 before he leveled Weaver with another knockdown, urging the lightweight to return to his feet. Once Weaver got back up Turner was there for more offense and the eventual submission finish.

With this performance, Turner locks down his second-straight Octagon finish after taking out Joshua Culibao via TKO back in February. The towering lightweight is now 3-2 since making his UFC debut against Vicente Luque nearly two years ago. And at just 25 years of age, Turner seems to only be scratching the surface of his potential at 155 pounds.
