Khabib Nurmagomedov put on a strong performance last night (Sat., April 7, 2018) at UFC 223 live on pay-per-view (PPV) from inside Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, earning a decision victory over last second replacement Al Iaquinta to win the UFC lightweight championship.
It wasn’t the dominating ‘smesh’ fest we’ve come to expect from Khabib, who struggled to get Iaquinta to the ground from the third round onward. But it was enough to earn him a convincing decision with 50-44, 50-43, 50-43 scores.

With this performance, Khabib Nurmagomedov becomes the undisputed UFC lightweight champion … although we’re sure Conor McGregor and Tony Ferguson will take issue with the term ‘undisputed.’
