Maycee Barber cashed in yet another superb performance earlier tonight (Sat., Mar. 23, 2019) at UFC on ESPN+ 6 live on ESPN+ from inside Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee, when she put a stop to veteran JJ Aldrich via second-round TKO.
Aldrich didn’t make it easy for Barber in her second Octagon appearance as she dropped “Future” in the first round on the heels of forward movement and distance control. Barber made some adjustments entering the second round and started to get her punches off first. She caught Aldrich with a nasty left hook that stopped the Colorado native in her tracks. Barber piled on the offense along the cage, including combination hooks and knees, until the referee stepped in for the stoppage.

With this performance, Barber lives up to her billing as the future of the women’s flyweight division and provides yet another memorable finish. The 20-year-old certainly has some improvements to make moving forward, which includes moving her head and getting off line after an offensive attack, but she looked good once again tonight and ended up handing Aldrich her first career knockout loss.
