I really wanted to come on here and claim the UFC Stockholm poster was an homage to the 2010 classic Trollhunter, because the fight card is taking place in Sweden and Norse mythology is fun to exploit, but then I realized that would take a modicum of creativity and (gasp) some actual effort.

I suppose it’s much easier to just recycle the same “Big guy, little guy” poster from a dozen other events, like the UFC 210 pinhead fiasco that had Daniel Cormier all up in arms and of course, UFC 158, which led to that whole “Wolf Tickets” scandal back in 2013.

UFC Stockholm, also known as UFC on ESPN+ 10, UFC Fight Night 152, and “that one with Jon Jones’ leftovers,” takes place Sat., June 1, 2019 inside Ericsson Globe Arena, where headliner and hometown hero Alexander Gustafsson will no doubt have the crowd on his side.

I’m sure Anthony Smith gives zero fucks, considering he’s the type of light heavyweight who would throw down in aisle five of Walmart for the right opponent (like this guy). Hopefully while he’s there, “Lionheart” can indulge in some Knäckebröd and caviar.
