In terms of shitty UFC starts, Yaozong Hu may have just secured his place in the top five of all time.

That’s because “Totoro,” already off to a torrid 0-2 start inside the Octagon, was recently suspended by United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) for flunking an out-of-competition drug test back in March.

The result is 10 months on the sidelines.

“Following an investigation into the circumstances of Hu’s case, USADA concluded that Hu’s positive test was caused by his use of a dietary supplement and that he was eligible for a minor reduction to the otherwise applicable one-year period of ineligibility for a doping offense involving a specified substance,” the statement read.

“The minor reduction is based on Hu’s cooperation throughout the results management process and efforts made to investigate the safety of the supplement prior to use, even though he subsequently realized that the product listed a prohibited substance on the label.”

The 3-2 Hu, 24, returned hot for androsta-3,5-diene-7,17-dione (arimistane) and its metabolite 7?-hydroxy-androst-3,5-diene-17-one, which is listed as a banned testosterone booster. His suspension is retroactive to March 9, putting him back inside the cage in early 2020.

Assuming the promotion keeps the light heavyweight employed.
