Well that’s a pretty big wager.
Mike Tyson has been in the news cycle quite a bit recently, and in one of his interviews, he briefly spoke about Conor McGregor. The former heavyweight boxing champion praised him for performing better than expected on his bout with Floyd Mayweather.
“This is where it’s not a spectacle… he went 10 rounds, scored punches, with the greatest fighter in the last 100 years of boxing,” Tyson said. “Look at what he had to fight against, and look at what he did, when he fought against it.”
McGregor has since responded and promised his life that he would win a rematch that he calls “inevitable.”
Thank you Mike, and just know that for the inevitable rematch, with the knowledge I now hold of Floyd’s style, plus under the tutelage of my old school boxing coach, I will crack the puzzle, and I will beat Floyd.
I promise my life on it.
It is great to see you back Iron Mike ?? https://t.co/NDrVnEaukm— Conor McGregor (@TheNotoriousMMA) May 15, 2020

McGregor has constantly campaigned for a rematch since that TKO loss in 2017. The 43-year-old Mayweather, on the other hand, has stated he has no interest in fighting the young stars of today, but would gladly “entertain and have a little fun” for “$600 million.”
