Now that Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) interim lightweight champion, Tony Ferguson, is making his way back to mixed martial arts (MMA), the promotion has to figure out what to do with him while Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov battle for “The Eagle’s” 155-pound strap this October in Las Vegas.

Former title contender, Al Iaquinta, has volunteered for the job.

Unfortunately for the part-time Realtor, Ferguson won’t sully his hands with the likes of Iaquinta, who “El Cucuy” puts in the same boat as Kevin Lee; meaning; they are both fighters who choked in the big spot.

Then this happened:

Snap City appears to be a gated community.

Iaquinta was last seen losing a five-round decision to Nurmagomedov in a fight that originally featured Ferguson, but “El Cucuy” blew out his knee and the promotion was forced to call upon “Ragin’ Al.” Ferguson remains ranked at No. 2 in the division against No. 9 for Iaquinta.

Any chance we see these two fight?
