We are a little over two weeks away from one of the most highly-anticipated title fights of the year, as Lightweight champion, Khabib Nurmagomeodv, and interim champion, Dustin Poirier, collide at UFC 242 on Sept. 7 in a title unification match.

Set to take place in Abu Dhabi, the title fight will once and for all reveal who is the best 155-pound fighter on the planet as Khabib (27-0) looks for consecutive win number 28, twelve overall inside the Octagon.

Poirier, meanwhile, has won four in a row against a murderer’s row of champions and ex-title holders including Anthony Pettis, Eddie Alvarez, Justin Gaethje and Max Holloway. His most recent win over “Blessed” at UFC 236 earned him his first-ever taste of UFC gold.

Handing Khabib his first-ever loss will be the cherry on top of what is a tremendous run for “The Diamond.” For “The Eagle,” however, taking out Poirier gives him one less obstacle to get to the pound-for-pound crown, and maybe even sets up a rematch against Conor McGregor.

Ahead of the world title fight, UFC has released a dazzling promo video which highlights each combatant’s biggest wins and paths to the top of the mountain, which you can see embedded above.
