A light heavyweight bout between Croatian fighter Igor Pokrajac (22-8) and Todd “Bulldog” Brown (15-2) was added to the upcoming UFC on Versus 3 card.
News of the match was announced at UFC.com making the fight official for the March event. Their are a total of seven official fights and another five in the works for the Kentucky show.
Pokrajac is coming off a unanimous decision loss to Stephan Bonnar in December as part of the co-main event for the TUF 12 Finale. So far the Croatian has had little success with the top promotion going 1-3 and will likely face dismissal if he loses to Brown. Before the loss to Bonnar, Pokrajac earned a first round submission win over James Irvin at UFC Live: Jones vs. Matyushenko, he was TKO’d by James Te-Huna at UFC 110, and lost his UFC debut to Vladimir Matyushenko at UFC 103 by unanimous decision.
Brown is likely in the same boat having lost his UFC debut to Tim Boetsch at UFC 117 by unanimous decision. The loss ended an eight fight undefeated streak for the Indiana based fighter. So far Brown has won 5 fights via (T)KO, 7 by submission, and won by decision 3 times. He’s never been stopped by an opponent with both losses coming via decision.
UFC on Versus 3, or UFC Live: Sanchez vs Kampmann is set to take place on March 3 at the KFC Yum! Center in Louisville, Kentucky.
