Will Conor McGregor vs Rafael dos Anjos get rebooked?
Rafael dos Anjos was triumphant in his return to the division he once ruled, beating a game Paul Felder at the UFC Vegas 14 main event. The former UFC lightweight champion won a decision, then proceeded to call his shot at the division.
“If Khabib is really retired, it will leave the division wide open. If you look at the contenders, me and Conor, we are the only champions in that division. Everybody else are only interim champions,” Dos Anjos said. “I think me and Conor is the fight to make.”
Conor McGregor heard the call out, and took so social media to say he is more than willing to fight Dos Anjos.
Respect to both men for making this fight and event happen tonight.
Good fight!

Dos Anjos and McGregor were originally supposed to fight in 2016, but until the Brazilian broke his foot. He was subsequently replaced by Nate Diaz, who famously pulled off that huge victory on short notice.
McGregor is expected to face Dustin Poirier at UFC 257 in January, but is it possible for a bout with “RDA” to materialize after? Lots of things have to fall into place, but it seems more likely that McGregor fights for the belt if he beats Poirier.
