Four fighters will battle for a contract with Invicta FC in August.
Imortal Fight Championship announced a partnership with all-female promotion, and will host a one-night, four-woman strawweight tournament on its second edition on Aug. 8, and an Invicta FC contract will be on the line.
Five-time jiu-jitsu world champion Michelle Nicolini (2-1), Andressa Rocha (5-1), Karine Silva (7-2) and Laura Balin (9-2) are slated to compete at the 115-pound tournament. Two reserve bouts will also take place at the event, Nicole Caliari vs. Morgana Silva and Caroline Silva vs. Adriana Del Vigna.
“I’m honored of signing this deal with Invicta FC and opening an important door in the international market for Brazilian athletes,” Imortal FC president Stefano Sartori stated in a release. “We have many athletes in Brazil that need this kind of opportunity. We will have four high-level athletes giving our fans incredible fight, and the winner will be able to build a long career at Invicta.”
The event will take place at the Albertina Salmon in Paranagua, Brazil, featuring UFC and IFL veteran Delson Heleno versus TUF 16 alum Tim Ruberg in the main event.
