Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) flyweight champion, Demetrious Johnson, finally got some good news after a disappointing weekend in Los Angeles, one that saw “Mighty Mouse” get trapped by division rival Henry Cejudo.

And cough up his crown in the process.

Johnson believed he suffered a broken foot while chasing “The Messenger” but X-rays show the bones are still intact. As far as the possible tear in his knee, the 125-pound dynamo says those results are still pending.

“I got X-rays on my foot, everything seems to be fine,” Johnson told his Instagram followers. “If the pain is still there, if the swelling is still there after 10 days, I’ll have another MRI to make sure nothing’s wrong with it. I got an MRI on my knee, no results yet, takes about two days.”

Either way, I would not expect Johnson back in action before 2019.

When he does return, it would not surprise me to hear UFC has ordered an immediate rematch. While Cejudo has been chirping about super fights opposite bantamweight kingpin TJ Dillashaw, “The Messenger” won a five-round split decision (recap) and hasn’t made a single title defense.

I guess we’ll find out soon enough.
