Mike Tyson may not be coming back to win a heavyweight world title, but the most feared knockout artist in the history of boxing will be returning after 15 years to fight Roy Jones Jr. this September in an eight-round exhibition match.

The return of “Iron Mike” has a lot of people excited even if the 53-year-old is more of a celebrity than an athlete these days. Much of the anticipation has stemmed from Tyson’s training videos and pad work that he’s released over the past few months. Despite his age, Tyson has looked like a straight killer when the gloves are on.

While Jones Jr. is a former world champion in his own right and even fought as recent as 2018, the oddsmakers are already making Tyson the sizable favorite heading into the Sept. 12 showdown. According to our friends over at Bet Online, Tyson is an early -200 favorite to take care of business. This means it will take $200 to win $100 if you’re betting on “Iron Mike.”

On the other hand, Jones Jr. is currently listed as a +160 underdog. That means a $100 bet would net you $160 if the former world champion can utilize his speed, movement, and precision to ward off the power of Tyson.

Also on the card is a co-main event clash between social media star, Jake Paul, and former NBA player, Nate Robinson. Paul is currently listed as a -160 favorite, while Robinson comes in as a +130 underdog.

Of course, these odds are sure to change as we draw closer to the fight and more training videos are released (we haven’t seen much of Jones Jr. up to this point). Be sure to stick with Mania for updated betting odds and eventual prop bets.

What say you, fight fans? Are these reasonable odds for Tyson’s return to action?

Let’s hear it!
