Leandro Issa will get the toughest fight of his career on Aug. 1, as he takes on No. 12 ranked bantamweight Iuri Alcantara at UFC 190 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Sources close to the situation confirmed the match-up to MMAFighting.com following a report by Combate.
Issa (13-4), who tapped to Russell Doane in his promotional debut in Singapore, bounced back with submission victories over Tuerxun Jumabieke and Yuta Sasaki in 2014.
Alcantara (32-6, 1 no-contest) looks to get back on track following a surprising loss to Frankie Saenz in February, snapping a three-fight winning streak over Wilson Reis, Vaughan Lee and Russell Doane.
UFC 190 takes place at the HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and features bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey facing undefeated Bethe Correia in the main event.
