UFC Fight Night: Werdum vs. Volkov has been reduced to eleven fights following the removal of welterweights Jack Marshman and Brad Scott.

On the eve of the UFC London weigh-ins, a preliminary card bout between Jack Marshman and Brad Scott has been scrapped.

From an official UFC press release:

“Based on advice from the UFC medical team on Thursday evening, Jack Marshman was deemed not fit to fight and his bout against Brad Scott has been cancelled.”

A Marshman team member told MMAjunkie that, as you may suspect having read the press release, there were concerns about Jack’s weight cut. This was due to be the first time that Marshman had ever fought at welterweight, having spent his career at middleweight. For what it’s worth, Scott has competed at 170 before, but much of his own time has been spent at 185.

Following the fight cancellation, Scott took to Twitter and said he’s still a standby opponent in case another fighter is unable to compete.

UFC Fight Night: Werdum vs. Volkov will now consist of eleven fights, although the start time is still slated for 1:45 PM ET/10:45 AM PT. The entire card streams live on UFC Fight Pass on Saturday, March 17th from London, England.
