Undefeated Ricardo Abreu has a new opponent for UFC Fight Night 68 in New Orleans.
Unbeaten as a professional MMA fighter, “Demente” will now take on former Resurrection Fighting Alliance middleweight champion Jake Collier on June 6, as fellow TUF: Brazil veteran Daniel Sarafian has been pulled out with an injury.
Collier (8-2) entered the UFC right after winning the RFA 185-pound title in October, and suffered a first-round knockout loss to Vitor Miranda in Brazil. Seven of his eight MMA wins came via stoppage.
Abreu (5-0), who fights out of Wanderlei Silva’s gym in Las Vegas, went 2-1 at TUF: Brazil 3, but choked out Wagner Silva at the season finale event. “Demente”, a world champion in jiu-jitsu, hasn’t fought since May 31, 2013.
UFC Fight Night 68 will be headlined by Dan Henderson vs. Tim Boetsch, while Ben Rothwell meets Matt Mitrione in the co-main event.
