The calendar may have flipped to 2021, but that doesn’t mean YouTube stars Logan and Jake Paul will be going away anytime soon.
Instead, it seems like the two brothers will try to spread their combat wings even more over the next 12 months and further sink their teeth into the world of boxing. Despite having no experience in the sport and limited fighting capabilities, both Logan Paul and Jake Paul have produced success inside of the ring. They’ve been able to sell fights and are quickly becoming some of the biggest draws in the sport (sadly).
That may all come to an end for Logan Paul when he meets undefeated boxing legend Floyd Mayweather Jr. this February. The bout will be considered an “exhibition match,” but Mayweather will still have enough time to show how amateur and outmatched Paul truly is against a professional boxer.
While Logan is going to train and prepare for a chance to upset Mayweather, his brother, Jake, does not share the same confidence. Instead, Jake believes his brother is going to get embarrassed by “Money” in a fight that should be considered “bad for the sport” of boxing.
“My brother’s f—ked,” Jake told TMZ Sports earlier this week. “(The fight is) bad for the sport, I think it’s just for clout. My brother’s the fake fighter, I’m the real fighter. He’s 0-1-1, I’m 3-0.
“But I wish him the best of luck. (But) don’t get in there with a guy who’s never even been knocked down. He was knocked down once, and it was by accident.”
Jake Paul, who is coming off a monstrous knockout win over former NBA star Nate Robinson back in November (highlights HERE), believes he’s the one true professional fighter in the family. That’s certainly an overstatement as neither YouTube star has any real skill inside of the boxing ring, but Jake will have his shot to prove himself again at some point in 2021 (maybe against former UFC fighter Ben Askren).
As for Logan Paul, he will in fact be “f—ked” when he meets Mayweather inside of the boxing ring next month.
