UFC on FUEL TV 10 iiThe Ultimate Fighting Championship was forced to change one the poster for this June’s upcoming UFC on FUEL TV 10 event due to a fighter injury.

Out is fighter John Hatahaway (17-1), and moving into his bout versus Erick Silva (14-3) on the main card will be ‘The Kansas City Bandit’ Jason High (16-3).

High’s original opponent, Ildemar ‘Marajó’ Alcantara (18-5) will still compete at the Brazilian event by taking on Octagon newcomer Leandro ‘Buscape’ Silva (11-0-1).

UFC officials Tweeted (@UFC) the new poster and updated the official fight card at UFC.com on Thursday.

UFC on Fuel TV: Nogueira vs. Werdum (aka UFC on FUEL TV 10) is expected to take lace on June 8, 2013 at Ginásio Paulo Sarasate in Fortaleza, Brazil. The event will see TUF Brazil 2 coaches Antônio Rodrigo Nogueira and Fabricio Werdum face-off in the main event.

High makes his return to the UFC riding a seven fight win streak after making his lone Octagon appearance back in March 2010. High won three straight under the Strikeforce banner picking up a submission win over Nate Moore last July at the Rockhold vs. Kennedy event. His last, and only UFC appearance, was at UFN 21 with a decision loss to Charlie Brenneman.

Silva lost a decision to Jon Fitch last October competing at UFC 153 at home in Brazil in his last fight. Silva did earn the “Fight of the Night” bonus, making it back-to-back bonuses after winning “Submission of the Night” for tapping out Charlie Brenneman last June at UFC on FX 3.

Alcantara debuted with the UFC last January, moving up to light heavyweight as a late replacement for Roger Hollett at UFC on FX 7. At the Sao Paulo show, Alcantara won his eight straight match by submitting Wagner Prado. All of his prior wins in his current streak all came under the Jungle Fight promotion.

Newcomer ‘Buscape’ Silva has yet to suffer a defeat competing just last month in Brazil, earning a split decision versus opponent Chris Wilson. He is listed as a lightweight fighter on his Sherdog.com profile and appears to be moving up in wait for the opportunity to compete in the Octagon.
