Jens PulverFormer UFC lightweight champ Jens “Lil’ Evil” Pulver (23-14-1) ended a six fight losing skid dating back to August of 2008. Pulver took on Mike Lindquist on Saturday night in the main event of a XFO 38 event at Woodstock Harlye Davidson in Woodstock, Ill. The event was available online for fans to view.

Lindquist came out swinging hard in the opening moments before he attempted a takedown, but it was Pulver who ended up with his opponents back. From their it only took Pulver 0:49 seconds to sink in the rear-naked choke to end the fight.

“If I got beat, it meant it was over,” said Pulver, who joined Team Curran and set up shop living in an upstairs room at Jeff Curran’s Curran Martial Arts Academy in Crystal Lake, Ill., for three months leading up the fight.

“I love were I live, I Iove training with these guys,” Pulver said, crediting his time working with Curran for reviving his career. “All my old coaches, I love them to death — but [their tutelage] fell on deaf ears … These guys spend a lot of time with me, and do a lot of stuff for me.”

Pulver is ready to fight again and will meet his next opponent on March 5th in the main event of an upcoming Chicago Cagefighting Championship event.
