The last two spots in Bellator Fighting Championships eight man featherweight tournament for season six were filled on Friday as undefeated fighter Jeremy ‘Spooner’ Spoon (12-0) and Roberto ‘Beto’ Vargas (12-1) were named as the final two participants.

News of the final addition of Spoon was confirmed by MMAjunkie.com, while Sherdog.com named Vargas as the last fighter this past Friday afternoon.

Bellator’s Season Six will kick off in March 2012 with five tournaments on tap in the bantamweight, featherweight, lightweight, welterweight, and middleweight divisions. The live events will air on Friday nights on MTV2 in the U.S. and on The Score in Canada.

Spoon and Vargas now join Alexandre ‘Popo’ Bezerra, Wagnney Fabiano, Ronnie Mann, Marlon Sandro, Genair da Silva and Daniel Straus in the season six featherweight tournament.

Spoon (pictured) is a former lightweight who has yet to lose, earning one (T)KO finish, eight submission and three decision victories in his career. ‘Spooner’ fought for Bellator in October at Bellator 56, earning a unanimous decision over Adam Schindler at the event. It was his second appearance in the Bellator cage, having fought in March at Bellator 37 where he stopped Jerrod Sanders by submission.

Vargas fought twice for Bellator back in 2009, going 1-1 losing to Wilson Reis by split decision at Bellator 10 which failed to get him into the season two tournament. Since then ‘Beto’ has gone on to win six straight with various promotions. His last win was in October at the Shark Fights 20 event, earning a split decision over Jared Downing.
