Joanna Jedrzejczyk has responded to Colby Covington.
Colby Covington has been going after a lot of his American Top Team stablemates as of late, even crossing some lines and directing that vitriol towards Joanna Jedrzejczyk. Apart from calling the former strawweight champion a “washed up”, “b-tch”, he also took shots and spread rumors about her personal relationships.
While ATT’s Dan Lambert has tried to enforce a “zero tolerance” gag-order on talking trash against fellow teammates, it looks like this isn’t going away anytime soon. Jedrzejczyk has since fired back against Covington, who he calls a “dirty” liar.
“It’s part of his act,” Jedrzejczyk told MMA Fighting. “He’s not a very polite or a smart guy, so he doesn’t know what to do. He needs other people to make himself big, so I don’t want to talk about this guy.
“I can tell you guys that it’s a shame for us… it’s a shame that he’s talking crap like this. It’s all ugly things. He’s a dirty guy and I just don’t want to talk about it,” she said. “He’s lying, you know. I don’t know why he’s such a big liar.”
Jedrzejczyk also fielded similar questions during an appearance with ESPN.
“He’s such a liar. He wants this exposure. He needs attention because he has nothing to offer to the world,” she said.
“It isn’t him. Someone is writing these for him, and I know who that is,” she said. “I feel sorry (for) him, that he needs to jump on me, Jorgie, Poirier. We’re real warriors and he’s trying to get advantage of us.
“I think Dan Lambert should kick him out. He’s putting this place in shame.”
