Joe Rogan defended his use of Ivermectin to help him get through COVID-19, while responding to CNN and his critics.
Joe Rogan is likely one of the biggest (if not the biggest) names in combat sports who recently contracted COVID-19. But unlike some of the sport’s top athletes, the longtime UFC color commentator got through the disease in just a couple of days since he got sick.
Rogan attributed his speedy recovery to the use of monoclonal antibody therapy — a legitimate treatment — and Ivermectin, a controversial antiparasitic drug that’s been touted as the supposed cure for the dreaded virus, despite a real lack of evidence. With Rogan pushing that drug on his huge platform, it of course didn’t sit well with many experts in the medical community.
But even so, the former Fear Factor host and stand-up comedian justified his Ivermectin use. As he told fellow comic Tom Segura in a recent episode of the Joe Rogan Experience podcast, it’s been recommended to him by “multiple doctors.”
He also suggested suing CNN for failing to highlight his recovery and calling him a “distributor of misinformation.”

I literally got it from a doctor. It’s an American company, they won the Nobel Prize in 2015 for use in human beings, and CNN is saying I’m taking horse dewormer. They must know that that’s a lie.
What they didn’t highlight is that I got better. They try to make it seem as if, like, I’m doing some whacky shit that’s completely ineffective and CNN was saying that I’m a distributor of misinformation.
One of the doctors Rogan mentioned to have recommended the drug is Dr. Pierre Kory. The controversial physician who gained popularity for pushing the conspiracy that the “Gods of Science” are “squashing, distorting, suppressing the efficacy of ivermectin.”
Rogan also brought up the supposed recommendation of the Tokyo Medical Association to use Ivermectin on COVID-19 patients. This has already been debunked and deemed as “misleading.”
As for the criticisms he’d received, Rogan has this message for the “weak bitches.”
Because I wasn’t scared during the entire pandemic, what they would like is that when I did get sick, that I was REALLY sick, and I became really scared and learned my lesson. And instead, it’s the worst-case scenario for them. I bounced back about as quick as you f—ng can.
They’re haters, but that’s their life. Imagine spending any time whatsoever wishing that a person felt bad. It’s the dumbest f—ng thing you can ever spend your energy on. And it doesn’t work. It doesn’t make people feel worse.
I’d heard that that was going on, but I didn’t pay attention to it. It’s like, they’re weak bitches. Stay salty.
