A clash of bantamweight sluggers has been added to the already stacked UFC 198 card as John Lineker takes on Rob Font on May 14.

John Lineker is healthy again, and just in time to perform in his hometown. The UFC announced he will be taking on fellow bantamweight slugger, Rob Font, at UFC 198.

The 26-year old Lineker(26-7) rides a three-fight winning streak after a unanimous decision loss to Ali Bagautinov back in 2014. He bounced back with a TKO win over Alptekin Ozkilic and a decision win over Ian McCall. After moving up to the bantamweight division, Lineker picked up a submission win in the first round against Francisco Rivera. He was also awarded the “Fight of The Night” bonus for the performance.

Still undefeated in the UFC with two KO wins over George Roop and Joey Gomez, the 28-year old Rob Font (12-1) will look to make it three in a row when he meets Lineker. In fact, his win streak extends to ten straight victories if you count his pre-UFC career,  which renders him undefeated since a unanimous decision loss to Desmond Green in 2012.

John Lineker and Rob Font will meet at UFC 198, on May 14, in Curitiba, Brazil. The card will be headlined by a heavyweight title fight between champion Fabricio Werdum and challenger Stipe Miocic.
