As reported by MMA Mania, Jon Jones managed to pass all the drug tests administered to him by USADA and the California State Athletic Commission on the night of UFC 232. Now normally, that kind of negative result isn’t much of a headline. But given the fact that the UFC had to move UFC 232 from Vegas to Los Angeles after steroid metabolites reappeared in previous Jones tests, this is pretty good news for the new light heavyweight champ.

Good enough news for “Bones” to brag about being clean on social media? We’ll let you decide how tactless that is on your own, but you better believe Jon did it.

”Finished my so-called kryptonite before the championship rounds,” he wrote. “Absolutely no jet fuel was found on the murder scene. Alexander Gustafsson, just wanted to make sure you saw this. Seemed like that was the only thing you could focus on in our last fight.”

”Interested to hear the excuses of my next few victims,” Jones added. “Only 51 more days to go, will you be a witness?”

Jones is currently scheduled to fight contender Anthony “Lionheart” Smith at UFC 235 on March 2nd, provided the Nevada commission grants him a license to fight in Las Vegas after a so-called ‘pulsing event’ turned up picogram amounts of oral Turinabol metabolites in multiple tests. That’s the same stuff that landed him a 15 month suspension in 2017, leading the UFC and USADA to decide they shouldn’t punish Jones for the same thing twice.

Whether Nevada agrees with their assessment will become clear on January 29th, when the NSAC meets to decide a number of important issues. Also on the docket for that event: the fate of Khabib Nurmagomedov and Conor McGregor, who were involved in a post-fight brawl after their bout at UFC 229.
