UFC president Dana White and CEO Lorenzo Fertitta flew to Albuquerque, N.M. on Tuesday to meet face-to-face with Jon Jones and his legal team regarding his arrest on Monday on a felony charge of leaving the scene of an accident involving death or serious injury, UFC officials confirmed with MMAFighting.com.

Earlier in the day, Jones was released from custody on continued bond by a judge in Bernalillo (N.M.) County Metropolitan Court, according to spokesperson Camille Cordova.

The district attorney has yet to determine whether Jones’ case will be brought to a grand jury and Jones will not make a plea unless he is indicted, MMAFighting.com’s Marc Raimondi reported. The DA has 60 days to decide whether or not to bring the charges to a grand jury.

UFC COO Lawrence Epstein also flew to Albuquerque with White and Feritta on Tuesday. According to UFC officials, the organization will not be making another statement on the situation until late Tuesday or Wednesday.

Jones allegedly ran a red light Sunday morning, striking another car and causing a three-car collision, according to a police report. He is being accused of leaving the accident, which resulted in a pregnant woman suffering a broken arm. The police report also states that a marijuana pipe with marijuana in it was found in Jones’ rental car.
