Jorge Masvidal seems to think he would have a tougher time boxing Stephen A. Smith than UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman.

Jorge Masvidal says if you think Stephen A. Smith has sloppy boxing, you should see Kamaru Usman hit mitts.

Masvidal mocked a video of the UFC welterweight champion sharpening his boxing. The “BMF” champion and soon-to-be welterweight title challenger compared Usman’s boxing to a harshly-criticized video of Smith striking.

“I want to apologize to @stephenasmith on behalf of the MMA community,” Masvidal tweeted of a video of Usman training. “They had something to say about you but WTF is this?”

As Masvidal’s ex-rival Ben Askren would say, “Boom, roasted.”

Dana White announced at Super Bowl’s Radio Row that Masvidal is next in line for Usman’s world title. Masvidal recently told Submission Radio the parties are still negotiating terms for the fight.

“We’re working on it,” Masvidal said. “We gotta get the numbers from the UFC. They’re a very smart company, and they gotta pay us if they want that type of entertainment.”

The bout is expected to take place at UFC International Fight Week.
