The injury bug strikes again, and Caio Magalhaes has a new opponent for UFC on FOX 11.
Originally scheduled to meet Josh Samman, who is out with an injury, Magalhaes now faces UFC newcomer Luke Zachrich in Orlando, Fla., on April 19. Sources close to the situation confirmed the change to MMAFighting.com.
Magalhaes (7-1) returns to the Octagon following a unanimous decision victory over Nick Ring at UFC Fight Night 33 in Australia. Prior to that win, the former Shooto middleweight champion locked a guillotine choke to submit Karlos Vemola in Fortaleza, Brazil.
Zachrich (13-2) enters the UFC riding a three-fight win streak. In eight years as a professional mixed martial artist, Zachrich has recoreded seven submission victories and four knockout finishes. In his only Bellator appearance, he lost to Eric Schambari via submission.
The UFC on FOX 11 card takes place at the Amway Center and is headlined by Fabricio Werdum vs. Travis Browne.
