The highly-anticipated rematch between WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, and IBO heavyweight champion Andy Ruiz Jr. (33-1, 22 KO) and former titleholder Anthony Joshua (22-1, 21 KO) will finally go down tomorrow afternoon (Sat., Dec. 7, 2019) live on DAZN from inside Diriyah Arena in Diriyah, Saudi Arabia.
Remember, Ruiz shocked the boxing world back in June after taking out Joshua via seventh-round TKO. While Joshua landed good shots in the opening rounds of the fight the English heavyweight ultimately faded and allowed Ruiz’s power to take over. Joshua may have taken the title defense lightly, but the rematch should produce the very best from both fighters.
In advance to their massive reboot this weekend in Saudi Arabia the two heavyweights stepped on the scale for official weigh ins earlier today. Ruiz came in much heavier at 283 pounds while Joshua touched down at 237 pounds. The two men then shared a final staredown on stage, which can be seen above courtesy of DAZN.
Only time will tell if the rematch will produce a different outcome than the epic first meeting between Joshua and Ruiz. Both heavyweights are capable of ending the fight at any moment so boxing fans better keep a close eye when the action starts.
MMAmania.com will deliver LIVE coverage of the main event below. The DAZN broadcast begins at noon ET, with Ruiz and Joshua set to make their ring walks around 3:45 p.m. ET.
