The UFC has added a lightweight bout to UFC Fight Night 67.
Former EliteXC lightweight champion and Strikeforce title contender K.J. Noons will make his return to the Octagon on May 30 in Goiania, Brazil, against Yan Cabral. The Nova Uniao fighter announced the match-up on his Facebook page.
Following a rough start in the UFC, Noons (13-7, 1 no-contest) returned to the win column with an unanimous decision over George Sotiropoulos and a 30-second finish against Sam Stout, winning back-to-back fights for the first time since 2010.
Cabral (12-1) rebounded from the first loss of his career in October, tapping Naoyuki Kotani with a rear-naked choke. The jiu-jitsu expert, who holds a win over Japanese legend Kazushi Sakuraba, is 2-1 in the UFC after competing at TUF: Brazil.
Headlined by Carlos Condit vs. Thiago Alves, UFN 67 takes place at the Goiania Arena. The other bouts already set for the fight card are Jessica Penne vs. Juliana Lima and Charles Oliveira vs. Nik Lentz.
