UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman is poking at Jorge Masvidal as the possibility that the pair fight next lingers.
Usman recently took to social media to share a video game clip from EA’s UFC 3, showing himself knocking out Masvidal in the game. Check out the clip here below, courtesy of r/u/JimmyShaker7.
Masvidal comes off of a spectacular 2019, hauling in three victories, all via TKO or knockout. “Gamebred” finished the likes of Darren Till, Ben Askren, and Nate Diaz. Now, Masvidal has put himself in a position to challenge for the welterweight championship next. Of course, that title is currently held by Kamaru Usman.
Usman just made his first career title defense against Colby Covington at UFC 245. “The Nigerian Nightmare” finished Covington in the fifth round of their main event matchup after breaking his adversary’s jaw midway through the fight.
While a potential fight with Usman could be on the horizon, Masvidal is likely awaiting the result of Conor McGregor vs. Donald Cerrone before making a final decision on his next opponent, as a mega payday against the Irishman would set him up nicely for his family’s financial future.
What do you think about Usman trolling Masvidal with the video game knockout clip?
