Khabib Nurmagomedov will do whatever it takes to get the win at UFC 254.

Khabib Nurmagomedov plans to neutralise Justin Gaethje’s vicious leg kicks, which are arguably his most dangerous weapon, with takedowns, and ‘The Eagle’ will stop at nothing to break ‘The Highlight’s’ will on Saturday night.

Speaking to the media at a pre-fight press conference (h/t MMA Fighting), Nurmagomedov revealed that he plans to take down Gaethje, the current interim UFC lightweight champion, ‘100 times’ if necessary.

“I think he has dinner meat on his hands,” Khabib said of Gaethje, who he will meet in a lightweight title unification bout in the UFC 254 main event. “Very good kicks. He has very good kicks. They all good when they stand up. But when I grab them, it changes a little bit. I think that more than Dustin (Poirier), Conor (McGregor), and other guys, he knows how to wrestle. He’s going to be a little bit hard.

“But I prepare myself to try to take him down 100 times. It’s going to be very interesting Saturday night.”

UFC 254, which features Khabib vs. Gaethje as the main event, promises to be one of the biggest UFC events of all time. The pay-per-view extravaganza takes place this Saturday, Oct. 24 at the Flash Forum on Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
